Konami has announced through gaming news site IGN that they are developing a brand new entry in the Metal Gear series. The game is a spinoff set after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Konami has announced through gaming news site IGN that they are developing a brand new entry in the Metal Gear series. The game is a spinoff set after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
After the attack on Mother Base at the end of Ground Zeroes, the members of Militaires Sans Frontières that had survived the attack find themselves in another universe thanks to the effects of wormholes with unknown origin. Once there the soldiers are forced to combat a group of “crystalline zombies”.
The game features 4-player co-op gameplay and is the first game in the series after the departure of ling-time series director Hideo Kojima. Konami has also described the game as “survival done the Metal Gear way” so Left 4 Dead fans, keep a lookout for this title.
