After huge delays and hype, the long-awaited Final Fantasy XV is almost in our consoles. Although it seems we will have to wait a little bit longer. Two months longer to be more precise.
According to gaming news site Gamnesia, a source in GameStop management has provided info on a possible delay of the hotly anticipated game. According to the source, the game has been delayed to November 29th and to further support this rumor, GameStop management has reportedly received instructions detailing how to apply a sticker to cover up the original date on all promotional material.
As a fan that has been waiting since the initial announcement a decade ago, this slight delay is a little bit of a disappointment. However, two months is nothing compared to ten years, and delays are usually always a good thing. Delays give developers more time to further enhance their games and deliver a richer, more wonderful experience.
Although, this is still all a rumor and there has been no official word from Square-Enix themselves. But until more news is confirmed, keep on searching for Hidden Item!
UPDATE: Square-Enix has posted a video on Final Fantasy XV’s official Youtube page confirming the delay. The reason for the delay, as explained by Director Hajime Tabata, is so that it will “…contain everything that was scheduled to be on the day one patch, as well as some extra things on top of that.”
