Decided amongst a group of 40 global media outlets in the game industry, the E3 2016 Game Critics Awards is one the highest honors for video games that are showed off at the show. E3 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo) is an expo in Los Angeles, California, where gaming companies meet and show off their latest work to developers and fans of the gaming industry. After the expo every gamer asks “So… Who won E3?” that’s where the E3 2016 Game Critics Awards comes in to play.

First, a mighty congratulations to everyone who’s been working on “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and Nintendo in general. We previously reported on the complete list of award-winners on Hidden Item, but this article is mainly to commemorate the game which we thought stole the show.

“…………. “I’m coming! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” received the following awards: Best of Show, Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Console Game. Not only did this game look beautiful, people are saying it’s shaping up to be the best Zelda game yet. What looks like a shoe in for the awards, “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” did have some very tough competitors like Battlefield 1, Dishonered 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last Guardian.
